The other thing nobody tells you: March in Phoenix is gorgeous — daytime highs usually in the low 80s, cool desert nights — but that fall race weekend in November can still hit the 80s during the day too. • WestWorld of Scottsdale — During Bike Week the venue itself handles on-site parking and camping arrangements as part of the event. If you want to be steps from the stage, I deliver and set up within the lot configurations they allow — just confirm your space with the event first and I’ll handle the rest.
• McDowell Mountain Regional Park — My go-to overflow for the Scottsdale side. It’s a short drive northeast, the sites are roomy, and the desert is quiet at night. Great if you want a real campground feel and don’t mind a 20-minute hop to WestWorld.
• Usery Mountain Regional Park — Over on the east Valley near Mesa, good for folks flying into Phoenix-Mesa Gateway (AZA).
• Estrella Mountain Regional Park — Southwest Valley, the closest regional park to Phoenix Raceway if the on-site lots are full.
